Our 2006 Studio Tour

PHOTOS OF OUR 2005 STUDIO TOUR BELOW and
a few others from past events.
Each year, members of the Hamakua Artisans’ Guild open their
studios for this free, self guided tour, through one of the most beautiful
areas on the Big Island of Hawaii. Artwork will be shown at studios
and galleries, from Waimea to Kalopa. The tour will take visitors and
collectors to studios and galleries in small towns, and along scenic
back roads.
Demonstrations and hands on activities will be presented, including
glass blowing, watercolor and silk painting, wheel thrown pottery, wood
carving and paper making. Finished pieces will be for sale, but this
will also be great opportunity to meet the artists and talk story. This
is a unique occasion to get a behind the scenes tour in the workplaces
of the award winning members of the Hamakua Artisans’ Guild, as
well as to see one of a kind pieces being created in the artists’ studios.
Members participating the the 2006 Studio Tour will include: David
Caccia, Janice Gail, Emily Herb, Hugh Jenkins, Gayle Marquess, Clytie
Mead, Stephanie Ross, Wilsa Saue, Karen Thrasher, and Jay West.
